Dance, Play, Repeat: Kidchella is back at Smith Memorial Playground and Presented by Wawa Welcome America

Smith Memorial Playground and Playhouse, in partnership with Wawa Welcome America, is thrilled to announce the much-anticipated Kidchella Music Festival, all while kicking off the celebration of our 125th Anniversary!. We are excited to announce this year  Kidchella will be FREE. This one-day summer festival will take place on Friday, June 21, from 4 pm to 9 pm, marking the event’s first-ever edition featuring multiple stages with non-stop live music performances. 

Situated on our expansive front lawn, this festival offers more than just a musical performance; it’s an engaging community event that honors the exhilaration of music and the arts. Attendees are promised a relaxing and picturesque setting with easy parking. As well as, activities for all ages, including creative art stations, delicious food trucks, enticing giveaways, community partner booths with resources and activities, and pre-show entertainment. Johnny Shortcake Show is a charming children’s musical that is fun for the whole family. Themed around celebrating silliness, the show features soul music for children, teaches important life lessons, and feels like one big disco party.
