48 Record Bar, the high-tech listening room and cocktail bar perched above Old City’s legendary Sassafras, presents this month’s installment of DECADES — The Lo-Fi x 48 Record Bar Industry Night: Latin Sounds Of The 1960s. This throwback evening will feature special guest DJ Hong Kwon spinning the Latin Sounds Of The 1960s, from salsa, to bugalú and everything in between, exclusively on Sunday May 5, from 8 – 11pm.
In addition to the captivating music, guests can indulge in 48 Record Bar’s unique reinterpretations of classic ’60s cocktails, with signature creations like The Pink Floyd, a beautifully colored twist on the classic Pink Squirrel, and The Les Paul, a homage to the iconic 50/50 Perfect Gibson, with both cocktails featuring Lo-Fi Aperitifs.
DECADES is a monthly industry night series for the ages, with installment centered around a different decade through music and beverage. Highlights from each industry night will include the following:
- Special guest DJ or musician who hails from a local bar or restaurant spinning music from a chosen decade
- Two featured cocktails (available for one-night-only), with recipes sourced/riffed on from that decade ($10 each)
- 20% off everything else on the customer’s tab including Lo-Fi’s Lo-Life, a Miller High Life with a splash of Lo-Fi Gentian Amaro
- Special merch crafted with the vinyl listener/cocktail slinger in mind
