UncustoMARY is proud to announce the return of the 8th Annual Baltimore Bubble Parade and Festival on Saturday, May 11, 2024, from 2:00pm to 5:00pm. The lighter-than-air spring tradition is back and bigger than ever. For 2024, the Bubble Parade floats into a new location at Riverside Park (Heath and Covington entrance) which lets the event add a new festival component this year – plus makes room for even more family fun. The event will feature a bubble walk where participants are encouraged to blow bubbles in a parade fashion around the park. Families also are invited to attend a new celebration that will feature live music from DJ Greg Goose, Althea’s Almost Famous Food Truck, a bubble show from Uncustomary and April’s Twisted Entertainment, Pixilated photobooth and props, costume contest, mystery raffle, joyful gifts for purchase, and bubble and lawn games to play in the park. Colorful whimsical costumes are welcome and encouraged!

“When I created the Baltimore Bubble Parade I had one goal: I wanted to create joy in Baltimore one bubble at a time,” said Mary “UncustoMARY” England. “Now eight years later, we are coming back bigger than ever with new surprises I hope will create even more smiles, more laughter and, of course, more bubbles.”

England added, “There is no other event like this in the DMV region – it is truly a one-of-a-kind unicorn. Participants come dressed up in whimsical costumes and dance, twirl, laugh, and blow thousands of bubbles. You can’t help but look at what’s happening because it really is a sight to see. Every year people join in on the fun and reflect on it being the perfect opportunity to slow down in a hectic world. The Bubble Parade is also an ideal location for a family picture, selfie, reconnection to nature or play. I love seeing families come back every year – it makes me so happy to see it is a cherished annual tradition. Every year it grows bigger and better – and I hope everyone enjoys the new surprise location and party for 2024.”

UncustoMARY created the Baltimore Bubble Parade back in 2015 as a way to spread joy and happiness throughout Baltimore and the DMV region. The event was a perfect fit for UncustoMARYs mission, which is to facilitate joyful experiences where individuals can create, connect and play. This event was designed to be an opportunity not just to feel joy but also spread the joy to onlookers and observers. It was designed as a community event to kick-off spring – and has grown each and every year. Last year the event attracted over 600 people and England hopes to see between 1,000 and 1,500 participants come out for the unique event.

For those participating and watching, the Parade resembles a technicolor music video set on a luscious green grass background. It is definitely a show-stopping sight to be seen with onlookers almost always doing a double-take and stopping to watch – almost always with a big smile on their face.

For the 8th edition, the Parade will move to a new location at Riverside Park and add a new party and festival to the fantastic floating fun. The event is aiming to bring out children, adults and families for a record-breaking year following the largest parade ever in 2023. The new format sees the celebration start at 2:00pm with music, food, photo opportunities, games, bubble shows and more. At 4:00pm, participants will parade around the park showing off their colorful and festive costumes and outfits while blowing bubbles and enjoying bubbles from bubble artists. The celebration and parade takes off from the Park’s Heath and Covington entrance, with GPS address 1703 Covington Street.

For the new Bubble festival, merry-makers will enjoy an effervescent afternoon with:
